DOUG SAHM DOCUMENTARY TO BE SHOWN AT BARNHILL CENTER

  

A documentary on the life of a Texas music legend will be shown this Saturday night at the Barnhill Center.

Sir Doug and the Genuine Texas Cosmic Groove examines Doug Sahm, who, according to musical experts, helped cross-breed genres over his long career.

Sahm fronted such bands as The Sir Douglas Quintet, Sahm the Sham and the Pharos and The Texas Tornados.

Prior to the showing of the documentary, there will be a Question and Answer session with the film’s director, former Rolling Stone contributor Joe nick Patoski.

The program begins Saturday night at 7:00. Doors to the Barnhill Center open at 6:00.
