DPS IDENTIFIES PEDESTRIAN KILLED ON HWY 290
Texas DPS has now identified the body of a man who was struck and killed as he tried to cross Highway 290 last Thursday. DPS was able to identify the fingerprints of the deceased man as 43 year old Shane Allen Carter. His family has been notified.
Just after 10:00 last Thursday night, a west-bound vehicle struck Carter on Highway 290, about four miles east of Brenham.
The driver of the 1984 GMC pickup was west bound on 290, when the victim—who was not carrying identification—stepped in front of the pickup, as he tried to cross the highway.
