This is not an attack on Dr. Jackson . Just thought I would bring a few things to the school boards attention . I see Dr. Jackson received a ten thousand dollar raise . Ten extra vacation days , plus extended his contract another five years . I believe the maintenance department needs some attention . Those guys work year round . They are also part of the backbone that keeps the district standing tall. I feel like they should get some recognition also . And maybe a better budget . There are maintenance people that have been there for many years and NEVER receive any extra vacation time . So when you see one of those maintenance people at one of the schools or working on the grounds , it wouldnt hurt to give them a little recognition. Its not just teachers and office personnel that keeps the schools running .
