DRS WILFRED AND BOBBIE DIETRICH SCHOLARSHIPS AWARDED TO AREA STUDENTS

  

 The Drs. Wilfred and Bobbie Dietrich Academic Scholarships will be presented to the recipients at Brenham High School, Burton High School and Brenham Christian Academy.

The recipients are selected on the basis of Boys State Representative, Academic Achievement in schools, and selected by the high school administrator and faculty, a DAR Good Citizen.

The recipient of each school is judged of having the qualities of good character, with emphasis on dependability, service, leadership, and patriotism.

The winners of the DAR Good Citizen award are, from Brenham High School, Gretchen West, from Burton High School, Amanda Chapdelaine, and Brenham Christian Academy, is Salem Podezwa.

Each receives a $500 scholarship that is mailed to the University or college, and is applied to the fees and tuition.

The Dietrichs presented a $700 scholarship to two graduates from Brenham High School. They are Kyle Evans, son of Mr. and Mrs. Keith Evans, and John Moorman, son of Mr. and Mrs. Robert Moorman.

Special recognition was given to Simone Richarz, whos’ mother taught French and Spanish in the Humanities Department while the Dietrich’s worked with her.

The Burton High School Scholarships recipients for the Drs. Dietrich Scholarships are Amanda Chapdelaine and Jaden Ray B Eckermann.
