EARLY VOTING BEGINS FOR DIST. 13 SPECIAL ELECTION

  

Early Voting is underway for the May 5 Special Election for District 13 State Representative.

This is the Special Election to fill the unexpired term of District 13 State Representative, vacated when Leighton Schubert abruptly quit the post to take a position at Blinn College.  This election is to fill the remainder of the term which ends December 31st of this year.

There are 3 candidates on the ballot, two Republicans: Ben Leman and Jill Wolfskill and one Democrat: Cecil Webster.

Leman and Wolfskill are also involved in a runoff election, later next month, to decide the Republican candidate to face Webster in November’s general election.

Early Voting in this race, will take place through this Friday, then next Monday and Tuesday.

Hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. each of those days at the Courthouse Annex, located at 100 S. Park, Street, Brenham, just across the street from the courthouse.

Election day is Saturday, May 5th.
