EARLY VOTING ENDS ON A BUSY NOTE

For the seventh and last day of early voting for the May 9th elections, 249 persons voted at the Washington County Courthouse Annex.

For the seven-day total, 1,321 person voted in the Blinn College Board of Trustee elections, 1,256 persons voted in the Brenham ISD Board of Trustee elections, and 617 persons voted in the City of Brenham elections.

Early Voting is now over and anyone wishing to cast a ballot in the City of Brenham, Brenham ISD or Blinn elections will need to go to their polling place.

Washington County Clerk Beth Rothermel says that voters should consult the list on the County Clerks' website or call the County Clerks' office for information on where to vote as not all polling locations used for county elections are open on Saturday.  In addition, some of the voters registered in the City of Brenham may vote at a different location for city elections.

Rothermel says, "We try to make this the voting process as seamless as possible however the voter must also be aware  that the city and school election locations may be different than where they go for other elections.  We will be in the courthouse to answer any questions from 7am to 7pm on Saturday."
