EDUCATOR TELLS BLACK HISTORY BREAKFAST “VALUES ARE THE KEY”

A native of Washington County and a Brenham High School graduate told Saturday morning’s gathering at the Black History Breakfast, that good, honest family values are the key to raising good kids.

Dr. Thomas Randle, the superintendent of the Lamar CISD, says when you see young people in trouble…many times it’s because they weren’t raise with the proper values.

Dr. Randle spoke at the annual breakfast at Blinn College, sponsored by the Brenham Activist Association

Randle says he learned the values he still lives his life by, growing up in the Independence area…

 

He told the audience that parents and the community need to instill “old school” values in their children…

Randle, a 1971 graduate of Brenham High, has been the superintendent of the Lamar CISD since July 2001. Before joining the Lamar CISD he served as superintendent in the La Marque school district for six years.

He is the past president of the Texas Association of School Administrators and the Texas Association of Supervision and Curriculum Development.

Randle was named 2011 Superintendent of the Year for Region IV and was a state finalist for Superintendent of the Year.
