EIGHT SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

A Brenham man has been sentenced to 25 years in prison after a hearing in District Court.  Judge Reva Towslee Corbet sentenced Thomas Luna Jr. to 25 years for Manufacture or Delivery of a Controlled Substance.  Luna plead guilty to the offence in July of this year and the sentencing hearing was held September 28th.  Luna was arrested in January of this year by a special response team from the Sheriff’s Office, Brenham Police and DPS.  Inside the residence where he was arrested officers found methamphetamines along with drug paraphernalia and two firearms.

Also in District Court this week:

Glennward Ray Jackson, 33 of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years in prison for Burglary of a Habitation, Possession of a Controlled Substance, and Evading Arrest.

Scott Everett Lebourgeois, 29 of Katy had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 3 years in prison for Prescription Fraud.  He was also sentenced to 591 days in state jail for two counts of Credit Card Abuse.

Paula Jeanine Garza, 53 of Brenham to 9 months in state jail for Credit Card Abuse.

Daquin Peterson, 18 of Tomball was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation for Aggravated Assault with a Deadly Weapon and Deadly Conduct.  He also must pay a $5000 fine, spend 180 days in County Jail, perform 300 hours of community service, and cannot go on any Blinn College campus.

Xsavior Rayon Roberts, 18 of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation for Burglary of a Habitation.  He must also pay a $1500 fine, spend 89 days in County Jail, and perform 400 hours of community service.

Taneshia McDonald, 29 of Brenham sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Evading Arrest and Endangering a Child.  She must also pay a $1500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Patrick Doyle Wills, 30 of Georgetown was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation for possession of a controlled substance.  He also must pay a $1500 fine and perform 150 hours of community service.
