There is some encouraging news from College Station Medical Center on the recovery of Brenham City Council Member Charlie Pyle.
Pyle’s wife, Traci, says he began responding to his family this (Thursday) morning by trying to speak and smiling. He is responding to the nurses and to his family’s commands. Traci thanks everyone for all of the prayers and support over the past six days since Pyle suffered a heart attack at their downtown Brenham restaurant, Must Be Heaven, last Friday. The complete message from Traci follows:
“I cannot thank everyone enough for all the prayers and support over the past 6 days. I can feel it! Charles had a heart attack Friday morning. He had a 99% blockage in his right coronary artery. Two of our MBH employees came in at 7, talked to him, went downstairs to put the truck delivery up, came back upstairs and found him unresponsive. They called 911 and started CPR until the police and first responders got there. We are forever thankful for them. Charles was taken to College Station Medical Center where he had surgery to remove the blockage. He was placed in ICU and has been given medication to reduce some seizures and has been monitored since. This morning he started to respond to his family by trying to speak, and smiling and responding to the nurses and family’s commands. He told me he loved me. I told God last night I needed a sign. He gave me a HUGE one. We continue to ask for your privacy at this time and please keep praying.”
Pyle is continuing to be treated at College Station Medical Center during what will be a long recovery period.
