FAITH MISSION/VOLUNTEERS TO PROVIDE THANKSGIVING MEALS

Faith Mission is once-again teaming up with dozens of area churches and local volunteers to serve Thanksgiving meals to the homebound and those in need.

Heather Thielemnn, coordinator of this year’s event, says plans are for 250 meals to be served Thursday at the Cannery Kitchen in Brenham, while another 100 meals will be delivered to homebound residents.

Meals will be served from 11:30 a.m.-1 p.m. Thanksgiving Day at the Cannery Kitchen’s dining room at 314 East Alamo.

Area churches have compiled the lists for delivering meals.

Thielemann says volunteers are still needed to help. Volunteer registration can be done online at http://faithmission.us/volunteer/thanksgiving-meal-volunteer-opportunities/.

Monetary donations can also be made there; a $3 donation will cover the cost of one meal.
