FARM BUREAU DONATES TO WASHINGTON CO. FIRE DEPARTMENTS

  

The Washington County Farm Bureau donated money and memberships to every Washington County Fire Department on Wednesday.

The donations were presented at the Washington County Fire Chief’s meeting at the Rocky Creek Volunteer Fire Department. President of the Farm Bureau, Larry Winkelmann, along with Marcos Broesche, Linda Oberhoff and Jessica Nemir made the presentation.

The Texas Farm Bureau donated $100 to the fire departments, which Washington County Farm Bureau matched with another $100. Also donated were memberships to the organization. Winkelmann thanked the fire departments for the service they provide, saying that what they do is very valuable to landowners.

The Texas Farm Bureau is honoring volunteer fire departments all across Texas with many counties also matching the donation and presenting road signs. Fire Departments that recieved checks from the Washington County Farm Bureau include:  Berlin – Mill Creek – Zionsville, Brenham, Burton, Chappell Hill, Gay Hill – Mound Hill – Cedar Hill, Latium Wesley Greenvine,  Meyersville, Prairie Hill – Rocky Hill, Rocky Creek, Salem and Washington.
