Washington County Constable of Precinct Two, Carroll Charles “Butch Faske, has announced that he intends to run for a seventh consecutive term for that office.

First elected in 1988 as the first Republican to hold office in Washington County since Reconstruction, Faske has served the constituents of Precinct Two and Washington County for twenty-seven years.

According to the Monday press release, Faske says that “ The support by the citizens of Washington County has been my driving force during my 27 years of service to Washington County and this state. I am honored to serve as your elected constable, and be able to provide professional, responsible and courteous service. Your support in the upcoming primary and general election will be greatly appreciated. I pledge a continued commitment of service and devotion to the office I so proudly serve.

The release goes on to say “The duties and responsibilities of the office have been carried out during his terms by providing an open door policy to all members of the community. Faske’s office communicates will all area law enfrocement agencies, district and county attorneys, all Justice of the Peace Courts, and the commissioners court. The primary duty of the office of Constable is the service of all precepts and writs issued out of district, county and justice of the peace courts.”

Faske and his wife Betsy have been married 44 years and have two children, Bruce and Bonnie.
