FATHER OF FORMER CUB STAR TIM COLE, RECOVERING AFTER HEART ATTACK

Former Brenham Cub football star and current Texas Longhorn linebacker Tim Cole says his father continues to recuperate after suffering a heart attack prior to last Saturday’s game.
Timothy Cole Sr. collapsed outside the north end zone at Royal-Memorial Stadium, around 8:30 Saturday morning, before the team arrived for their game with West Virginia.
A spokesman for Travis County EMS says the 60-year old Cole required nearly 30 minutes of work before responders were able to detect a pulse. He was then transported to St. David’s Medical Center.
The younger Cole says he was told of the incident as the team got off the bus. He was able to talk to paramedics and his mother.
Cole thanked everyone for their thoughts and prayers and said that his father’s recovery is, “progressing quicker than usual. It’s a blessing.”
