FAYETTE CO. CHASE LEADS TO ARREST
An Austin man faces charges after a weekend chase that began in Fayette County and ended near Bastrop.
Authorities tried to pull over Carlo Arceo Cruz of Austin for speeding, Saturday night on State Highway 71.
Cruz then reportedly sped off, leading to a pursuit that led into Bastrop County.
Joining the chase were DPS and Bastrop County deputies.
Cruz eventually pulled over at Alum Creek, near Bastrop State Park.
Cruz is charged with Evading Arrest with a Vehicle.
