FAYETTE CO. COUNTRY OPRY TO HAVE POLKA SHOW

In just one week, the Fayette County Country Music Club will host a Polka Show.

The show will take place on Monday, April 17th at the KC Hall in La Grange. The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M.  Admission is only $5.00.

The polka show will feature four different performers:

Chris Rybak began his love of music at the age of 8 with piano lessons. By the age of 12, Chris developed a love for the accordion after being inspired by the members of his father's band (Leroy Rybak's Swinging Orchestra in Texas).

Chris played accordion and trumpet in his high school band and won many competitions.   After signing with Daily's Glad Music Co record label, Chris recorded his self-titled debut album which was released in 1999.  Since then he has recorded 9 additional albums and is currently working on a new one.

Chris has been featured multiple times on various television stations, including RFD-TV and CBS News in Austin and has had several radio interviews including NPR (National Public Radio).  Chris and his wife Edita organize European Tours every year for their fans. In April they are hosting a trip to the Czech Republic, Austria, Italy, Greece and Croatia.  In September a trip to Italy, the Vatican, Austria, Germany and the Czech Republic. They have a beautiful daughter Kristina Nicole Rybak who is already walking in her father's footsteps.  She is showing much interest in music and has even appeared in national newspapers and she will definitely be on stage to help her Dad and Mom perform.

Allison Crowsen is from Brenham and has been singing and playing around the area for many years.  She started the Bluebonnet Opry in Brenham and is a great accordion player and singer.  She now runs the White Horse Tavern in downtown Burton Texas with live music on the weekends.

Charlie Bartos & Dennis Tousek who both love to play the accordion.  It was by pure accident that they decided to play their accordions for the Incredible Knockouts at the chili booth at Czhilispiel.  This sparked the beginning of the Incredible Music Makers.  Charlie is a native of Flatonia, Texas and learned to play the accordion when he was 11 years old.  He is mostly self-taught with the exception of a few lessons from his dad, and learned to play by practicing every day.  He loves to play polkas, waltzes, and country-western music.  Dennis was born and raised in Moulton, Texas, in the vicinity of Cotton Grove.  He was 9 years old when his parents purchased an accordion for him to play.  He received lessons from the famous Charlie Tousek who had a band around the Moulton area.    Charlie and Dennis’ dream came true when the Incredible Music Makers band was formed.

Zach Novak is 22 years old and loves Czech music. Give him a keyboard or an accordion and he will show you just how much. Playing music makes him happy but things have not always been easy for him. Diagnosed with Autism, Tourette’s Syndrome and a seizure disorder at an early age, Zach has overcome many obstacles. He did not talk until the age of 7 but that did not slow him down. After receiving his first keyboard and accordion around the age of 10, Zach immediately taught himself to play all the polkas and waltzes that he loves so much by listening to the radio or CD’s. Zach has played as a special guest with Charlie and Dennis and The Incredible Music Makers Band at the Flatonia Picnic.

Sponsors for the polka show include Fayette Memorial Funeral Home, National Bank & Trust, Oviedo Chevrolet, GMC, Chrysler, Jeep & Dodge, & Texas Live Oak Group of Thrivent Financial.
