The Fayette County Country Music Club will host a Gospel Show on Monday, January 16 at the KC Hall in La Grange.

The entertainers for this special Gospel show will include The Colorado River Cowboy Church Gospel Band. The band was founded in 2009 in Smithville, and has evolved since that time with a group of talented musicians and singers.

The band consists of Larry S Richards from Smithville on bass, Keith Jenkins from Liberty Hill on guitar, Paul Kessler from Muldoon on mandolin, Jimmy Watts from Smithville on lead guitar, Tracy Moulder from West Point on guitar, Penny Vlug from Smithville on keyboard, Cathy Vasek from Smithville, Wesley Pearson from Rosanky, Ginger Pool from La Grange, and Pairlee Ivey from Muldoon vocals.

The show will also feature D’Vine Testament. The group is composed of Chris Janca from La Grange, who has sang at over 300 weddings, has performed with “The Gus Lindemann Orchestra” for 23 years, and has produced two CDs; David Machac from Schulenburg, who started playing drums at the age of 6 and later on learned to play rhythm guitar; Dennis Stryk from Schulenburg, who is an original member of the band “Telstars” and later became the lead singer of the band, “The Wild West”; Byron Wren from Lexington, who began playing guitar at an early age and sat in with an adult country band; Bruce Lebeda from Schulenburg, who started playing the saxophone in 5th grade and continued throughout his high school years.  D’Vine Testament says they are a group of young men who love to sing and enjoy having a great gospel album.

The show starts at 7:30 P.M. and the doors will open at 5:30 P.M.  Admission is only $5.00.

The 16th Anniversary Show will be held on February 20th. It will be a Tribute to George Strait with Derek Spence, who looks and sounds like George Strait. His website is http://www.tributetogeorgestrait.com
