FAYETTE COUNTY DRUG ARREST

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports that two arrests were made by Fayette County Deputies on the night of September 29 and the early morning hours of September 30, 2015.

Fayette County Sheriff’s Deputy Casey Thumann stopped a vehicle at approximately 10:18 PM on September 29, 2015 on State Highway 71 West in Ellinger for failure to dim headlamps when meeting oncoming traffic. Upon contact with the driver, the odor of raw marijuana was detected coming from the driver’s person and it was apparent that the driver was attempting to get rid of the marijuana by ingesting it as marijuana residue was observed in his mouth.

On September 30, Deputy Jeremy Castleberry was dispatched to a disturbance in the parking lot area behind Zapp Hall in Warrenton. Castleberry arrived on scene and made contact with the alleged suspect in this incident. The suspect in this case was found to be intoxicated and in possession of marijuana.

Arrested and charged with public intoxication, possession of marijuana, and possession of drug paraphernalia was that of 32 year old Nicholas Rockwood of Hereford, Arizona.

Justice of the Peace Precinct One Scott Parker set both individuals’ bonds at fifteen hundred dollars each.
