FAYETTE COUNTY DRUG STOP

  

Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports a traffic stop on US Hwy 77 on May 13, 2015 resulted in drug charges being filed.  Sergeant Charles Jobb stopped a pickup truck traveling south on US Hwy 77 for a traffic violation.

Upon contact with the driver the odor of marijuana was detected.  A search of the vehicle resulted in marijuana being located.  Charged with possession of marijuana was 19 year old Tyler Fiscella of Houston.

Sheriff Korenek also reports after extensive surveillance on a residence where drug activity has been reported.  A search warrant was conducted by the Fayette County Narcotics Unit.

The warrant was executed in the early morning hours of May 14 ,2015 at a residence located at 657 N. Jefferson St in LaGrange.  Assisting Deputies at the location was La Grange Police Department and Fayette County EMS personnel.  A search and investigation were completed with marijuana and other paraphernalia being located.

Also located at the residence was stolen property (street signs) from the City of La Grange.

Arrested for possession of marijuana and possession of drug paraphernalia was 20 year old Shadow Garza of La Grange.

The narcotics Officers were also able to determine that two other individuals were going to be involved in the drug activity.

Other arrests are expected due to the illegal activity.
