FAYETTE COUNTY REPORT ON STOLEN VEHICLE
Fayette County Sheriff Keith Korenek reports on Sunday afternoon around 2:14 pm, Deputies located a suspicious vehicle in the Rest Area on St. Hwy 71 near the Bastrop County line.
Deputies Garrett Durrenburger located the vehicle and Rick Bohlmann responded to the scene to assist.
A 2008 Suzuki XL7 SUV was abandoned in the rest area. The vehicle registration was checked through Fayette County Communications Office and it was reported stolen out of Travis County the day before.
The vehicle was secured and Travis County Sheriff’s Office was notified.

Not sure if the police are not investigating the incident or something but two cars were broken into at Stonehollow apartments on Sunday as well. One of the cars was recovered in Waller and another is still sitting in the lot with glass on the ground from where they smashed the window. 3-5 auto break ins a week and now multiple GTAs….When are BPD going to actually get these people?!
