FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFF REPORT

  

The Fayette County Sheriff’s Office reported a large grassfire on State Highway 71, near Koehl Road, just inside Colorado County, on Tuesday evening, around 6:30pm.

The Ellinger Fire Department was requested to respond, along with the Columbus Fire Department, and found a grass fire, which was extinguished, and believed to have burned about five acres of land.

Assistance was also requested from the Fayetteville Fire Department.

There were no reported injuries or structures damaged.
