FAYETTE COUNTY SHERIFFS SEIZE 20 POUNDS OF COCAINE DURING TRAFFIC STOP

A traffic violation led to the seizure of 20 pounds of cocaine in Fayette County on Tuesday.

According to the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office, Deputy David Smith stopped a Ford F-150 pickup truck for a traffic violation just before 9 a.m. The driver, 40-year-old Arnold Acedo, of McAllen, appeared to be nervous and refused to let investigators search the car.

Sgt. Randy Thumann and his K9 partner Lobos arrived on the scene and conducted an exterior sweep of the vehicle, at which time Lobos alerted to narcotics inside the driver’s side door.

Lobos was let inside the vehicle and found a large duffle bag containing six bundles of cocaine, weighing approximately 20 pounds. Authorities say the drugs have a street value of approximately $900,000.

Acedo was arrested for felony possession of a controlled substance and was booked into the Fayette County Jail.

  1. Good job!!! You guys have been killing them on the busts. We need to bring back hard labor prisons so these criminals can understand the true meaning of work.
