FEBRUARY BRENHAM BUILDING PERMITS WELL AHEAD OF LAST YEAR

  

Eight new residences helped boost the value of building permits issued in Brenham in February to over $1.1-million.

Thirty permits were issued for a total value of $1,143, 413 – well above last February’s total of 20 permits, totaling $709,892.

So far, in 2016, 51 total permits have been issued for a value of $3,188,949, which lags behind last year’s total of $5,435,589.

The single-largest permit issued was for a new residence at 2414 Dillon St. for $255,680.

In all, the eight new residences are valued at $748,688.

The largest commercial permit issued was for $12,000 for a specialized roof renovation to the old Beaumier Iron Works building on South Baylor Street.
