FEMA ASSISTANCE IN WASHINGTON CO. OVER $1-MILLION

  

According to FEMA, assistance to Washington County in the wake of May’s flooding has now totaled over one-million-dollars.

According to Rita Egan, local FEMA coordinator, 224 applications have been approved for a total of $1,013,639.

In other counties in the Brazos Valley:

Brazos County has 157 applications for $751,099; Burleson County has 58 applications for $278,640; Grimes County has 146 applications for $566,406; Lee County has 27 applications for $353,125; and,.

The Deadline to file applications for the May flooding is Wednesday, August 10th.

Meanwhile, Egan reminds those affected by the April flooding that the deadline to file for FEMA assistance is Friday, July 29th.

So far: Colorado Co. has 24 applications for  $ 271,939;  Fayette Co. has 26 applications for  $143,483; and, Grimes Co. had 90 applications for $346,032.

  1. I find this hard to believe. Everyone that I talk to that had damages including myself didn’t get a Dime.
