FEMA has opened a Disaster Recovery Center in Somerville to assist those affected by May's massive storms.

The Burleson County center is located at the Yegua Center on Eighth St. and will be open Mondays through Fridays from 9 a.m. to 6 p.m. and Saturdays from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The center at the Washington County Fairgrounds in Brenham closed at the end of business hours Thursday, but residents can visit any location or register for FEMA assistance online at disasterassistance.gov or by calling 800-621-3362.

All Disaster Recovery Centers in Texas will close Monday for the July 4 holiday.
