FIRE DESTROYS HOME ON TREY LANE

A home on Trey Lane in the Bluebonnet Hills subdivision was totally destroyed by fire late Wednesday night.  Fire departments from Brenham, Chappell Hill, Berlin and Salem responded to the fire at 11:30 Wednesday night and arrived to find the home engulfed in flames.  The flames were so high at one point they could be seen from several miles away.  The occupants were home at the time of the fire and made it out safely.  There were no injuries reported.  Firemen remained at the scene for over 3 hours putting out hot spots.  The cause of the fire remains under investigation.

  1. I’m just around the corner. I watched from my pourch, horrified. I don’t know the family, but I sat and prayed the whole time for everyone’s safety. Thank you to all of the emergency responders. I wish I had more to offer the family as I can’t imagine the loss they are feeling. I offer you my prayers though. I’m so happy you are safe.
