FIRE DESTROYS WASHINGTON CO. HOME

  

A Brenham area home is a complete loss in an early-morning fire.

Firefighters were called out around 6:30 this (Tuesday) morning to the 1300 block of Allen Road, off Highway 105 east of Brenham.

Firefighters report that the home was completely involved in flames as they arrived.

Meyersville and Brenham Fire Departments fought the fire with Chappell Hill and Prairie Hill departments providing water.  Ice on the roadways did slow the response of the tanker trucks, but firemen on the scene did not run short of water.  There were no firefighter reported injuries.  The residents of the home all made it out without injury, but lost everything in the fire.  They are currently seeking assistance with Brenham's Faith Mission.
