FIREMEN RESPOND TO EARLY MORNING APARTMENT FIRE

  

Brenham Firefighters responded to a fire call overnight at 801 West Jefferson Street.

Fire was coming through the roof of a single story 2 bedroom apartment at the Jefferson Square complex when firefighters arrived around 2:40 am this morning. The fire apparently started on the porch of the apartment and  extended up the wall to the attic and roof,

There was heavy smoke damage to the vacant apartment. The adjoining occupied apartment had light smoke damage.
