FIRST ‘SPRING CLEANUP’ THIS WEEKEND IN BRENHAM

  

The first of two sessions of the annual Brenham Spring Cleanup Event at the Citizens Collection Station is this week.

City residents can bring in their refuse this Thursday through Saturday, to the Citizens Collection Station.

The dates for County residents are Thursday through Saturday, April 19th through 21st.

This year, only the first 500 pounds of debris can be dumped at no charge.  Anything over that amount will be charged the regular rate.  Currently the collection station charges $90 per ton of non-compactable debris and $22.50 per ton of brush and yard waste.

Customers must show a proof of residence and ID upon arriving at the collection station.   The Spring Cleanup Event is only for non-hazardous materials and non-commercial customers only. Appliances with coolant will be assess a removal fee of $20 prior to drop-off.  Tires will be accepted at the normal gate rate. Propane tanks or large quantities of computers and loads that contain dirt, cement and/or bricks will be turned away.
