FIVE PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Five people pled guilty to felony offences and were sentenced by Judge Terry Flenniken this week in District Court.

Randell Lee Harvey, 36 of Brenham, was sentenced to 5 years in prison for Aggravated Assault with Deadly Weapon and Riot Participation.

Justin Jemide Ashima, 29 of Houston, had his probation revoked for a 2007 Criminal Mischief conviction and was sentenced to 12 months is state jail.  He was also ordered to pay a $750 fine and $321 in restitution.

Fidel Aranda Angel, 42 of Brenham, was sentenced to 6 years probation for Driving While Intoxicated 3rd offence.  He was also ordered to pay a $1000 fine, spend 10 days in the county jail, perform 200 hours of community service, and have an interlock device installed on his vehicle.

Jarred Brandon Hubert, 18 of Brenham, was sentenced to 5 years probation for Burglary of a Building.  He was also ordered to pay a $1500 fine, pay $1409 in restitution, perform 150 hours of community service, and have no contact with the victim in the case.

John Gia Nguyen, 23 of Brenham, was sentenced to 4 years deferred adjudication probation for Possession of Controlled Substance.  He was also ordered to pay a $750 fine and perform 100 hours of community service.

Also heard in the District Court were requests for Bond Reductions for two of the individuals recently indicted and arrested for Felony Murder.  The Court reduced the bonds on Sylvia Pratt and Lacreshia Miles from $75,000 to personal recognizance bonds allowing for their immediate release without a surety from a bondsman.
