FIVE PEOPLE SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Five people pled guilty and were sentenced this week in District Court by Judge Carson Campbell.

Brandon Sparks, age 21 of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years in prison for a 2015 Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance charge.  After a hearing, Judge Campbell announced that he would consider probation after 120 days of incarceration.  In a second charge of Manufacture/Deliver Controlled Substance from 2015, Sparks was sentenced to 10 years deferred adjudication probation.

April Wofford, age 43 of Brenham had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to 10 months in State Jail and a $1500 fine for possession of a controlled substance.

Devun Cooksey, age 19 of Brenham was sentenced to 10 years in the prison probated 5 years for Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence.  He also had his probation revoked on an Evading Arrest/Detention Using Vehicle case and was sentenced to 10 years in prison probated to 5 years.  He must also pay a $533 fine and perform 120 hours of community service.

Daijia Nicole Bell, age 19 of Spring was sentenced to 5 years deferred adjudication probation for Tamper/Fabricate Physical Evidence.  She also must pay a $1500 fine and perform 200 hours of community service.

Michael Ray Hooks, age 29 of Brenham was sentenced to 3 years deferred adjudication probation, a $1000 fine and 120 hours of community service for possession of a controlled substance.
