FIVE PERSON SENTENCED IN DISTRICT COURT

  

Five persons plead guilty to felony offenses and received terms ranging from probation to prison terms in the 21st Judicial District Court, according to Julie Renken, District Attorney.

Vernon Veon Woodberry, Age 48, of Burton, plead guilty to Driving While Intoxicated from May 9, 2008, and had his sentenced revoked and sentenced to six years in the Texas Department of Criminal Justice, and fined $5,000.

Keith Justice Clewis, Age 23, of Missouri City, plead guilty to Theft $1,500 to $20,000 from December 20, 2011. A hearing was hild on probation violations. Clewis had his probation adjudicated and was sentenced to twelve months in the TDCJ, fined $1000 plus court cost, his court-appointed attorney fee, a $50 Crime Stopper Fee and $1,600 in restitution.

Ashley Tackitt, Age 24, of Brenham, plead guilty to Burglary of a Building from July 7, 2014, and had her probation adjudicated and was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ, probated for five years, $1,500 fine, court cost and court-appointed attorney fee, and must successfully complete an Intermediate Sanction Facility program.

Thomas Salazar-Ruiz, Age 25, of Elgin, plead guilty to Theft of Copper, from November 29, 2011, and was sentenced to two years in the TDCJ, probated four years, a $750 fine, court cost, court-appointed attorney fee, and fifteen days in the Washington County jail.

Anjelica Parker, Age 25, of Brenham, plead guilty to Tampering with a Government Record from September 4, 2013, and was sentenced to four years deferred adjudication probation, court cost, $2,686 restitution, $50 Crime Stoppers fee, and provide urinalysis and DNA samples.
