FORMER AGGIE/NFL FOOTBALL PLAYER ARRESTED ON A&M CAMPUS

  

A former Texas A&M and NFL football player has been arrested on the A&M campus on drug possession charges.

A&M Police arrested 46-year old Thomas Mark Anthony Wheeler just after 1:00 this (Monday) morning in an A&M parking lot after receiving reports of a suspicious person.

According to the police report, an officer noticed a marijuana cigarette in the front console of the truck.  Wheeler reportedly told the officer it was medical marijuana.

While searching Wheeler's truck, officers found two marijuana bags hidden in a water bottle, and a bottle with a small bag of cocaine.

Wheeler’s a former A&M defensive tackle who played eight seasons in the National Football League for Tampa, New England and the Philadelphia.

Wheeler is currently in the Brazos County jail with several drug charges pending.  His bond has been set at $10,200.
