Former Brenham High School Principal Jon Forsythe can now add “Community Builder” to his list of accolades.

The Community Builder Award was presented to Jon Forsythe on Monday by Graham Masonic Lodge in Brenham.  The award recognizes those who have distinguished themselves through their service to the community, local and state governments, places of worship, or to humanity at large.

Forsythe served 41 years educating students in several Texas districts, with the last 21 years of his career spent in Brenham.  He began his career in Brenham in 1986 as the Brenham High School principal, and stayed in that position until he was named the Director of Student Services in 2004.  He officially retired in December 2016.

He receives the award with deep admiration from his peers.  Brenham ISD Superintendent Dr. Walter Jackson says Forsythe is a “strong and dedicated pillar of the Brenham community.”
