FORMER BRENHAM STORE OWNER INDICTED AGAIN

  

A former Brenham businessman has been indicted on more charges involving the alleged sale of synthetic marijuana.

52-year old Ashraf Nazar Ali of Richmond, the former owner of a Brenham convenience store, has been indicted on seven counts of Manufacture/Delivery of a Controlled Substance.

Back in August, Ali was indicted on four similar counts.

Ali was arrested this past March after a lengthy investigation by the Washington County Sheriff’s Office.  Deputies confiscated over 300 packs of synthetic canboids—known as KUSH, with a street value of over $12,000.  They also confiscated a large amount of cash they believe was from the sale of illegal drugs and paraphernalia.

Since his arrest Ali has sold his former business.

Also indicted by the 21st Grand Jury:

29-year old Barry Sylvestor Brown Jr. of Brenham for Driving While Intoxicated with a child passenger.

37-year old Jammie Castillo of Austin for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle, Evading Detention with a Motor Vehicle and Possession of a Controlled Substance.

40-year old Johnnie Lee Ruiz of Brenham for Assault Family Violence/Impeding Breathing.

30-year old Thomas Earl Nickerson of Brenham for Burglary of a Habitation.

19-year old Tristan Palacios-Prieve of Brenham for two counts of Burglary of a Building.

21-year old Austin Jackson of Brenham for Burglary of a Habitation.

19-year old Tyrone Ray Scyrus Jr., of Brenham for Burglary of a building.

39-year old Patrick Deon Smith of Hempstead for Theft of Less than $2500, with Two or more previous convictions.

50-year old Tom Nelson Smith of Washington for Theft of Less than $2500 with Two or more previous convictions.

20-year old Stefan Wingobest of Houston for Unauthorized Use of a Motor Vehicle.

19-year old Victoria Lynnette Folsom of Brenham for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

26-year old Cebrina Midkiff of Brenham for Possession of a Controlled Substance.

And, 29-year old Judy Compean of Brenham on six counts of Forgery.
