FORMER CALDWELL POLICE OFFICER FACES FELONY CHARGE

A former Caldwell police officer is facing a felony charge.

On Wednesday, Casey Lourcey was arrested for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon in Burleson County.

Caldwell Police Chief, Charles Barnes, says Lourcey was placed on administrative leave on July 7th because there was information that he was involved in criminal misconduct. On July 20th, the Bryan Police Department arrested him on charges of harassment and the breach of computer security. Five days later, the Caldwell Police Department terminated his employment.

Then last Wednesday, Lourcey was arrested again for aggravated assault with a deadly weapon. He was booked into the Washington County jail due to his relations with inmates in the Burleson County jail. He has since been released.
