FORMER COUNTY JUDGE’S GRANDSON SHINES IN VIRGINIA LITTLE LEAGUE
Cade Mutscher, the grandson of former Washington County Judge and Speaker of the Texas House Gus Mutscher, pitched a shut-out to win in the Arlington County (VA) Little League championship game.
Mutscher plays for the Orioles in the Majors division, and held the high-scoring Braves to 3 hits in five and a half innings, for a 1-0 win.
Mutscher, age 11, has another year of eligibility with his 11-12 Majors team and heads into 7th grade this fall at St. Stephen's & St. Agnes School in Alexandria, VA.
Cade is the son of Gus Hurley and Amy Mutscher.
