“James had a great season for us and was our main offensive threat,” head coach Scott Schumacher said.

Green stepped into the point guard position after transferring from Missouri State University-West Plains. He ranked third on the team with 10.6 points per game and led the Buccaneers with 4.8 assists per game. Green scored a season-high 26 points and added 10 assists against San Jacinto College-Central on Jan. 21.

LaKendrick Hyson

“Juwan was the glue for this year and we could always count on him,” Schumacher said. “One of the reasons that we won a lot of close games was because Juwan had the ball in his hands and made the correct decisions.”

Hyson ranked second on the team with 12.8 points per game and pulled in 5.8 rebounds during his sophomore season. He scored a season-high 27 points and added seven rebounds against Coastal Bend College on Jan. 30.

Tyler Barlow

“LaKendric really bought in to being a hard-working player who attacks the boards and that enabled him to score,” Schumacher said.

As a sophomore transfer from Lafayette College, Barlow was a force in the paint. He averaged 4.6 points and was second on the team with 6.3 rebounds. Barlow scored a season-high 12 points and hauled in eight rebounds against Lone Star College Cy-Fair on Nov. 3.

“Tyler was our leading rebounder in conference and got better as the year went on,” Schumacher said.

Blinn finished the season with an 18-14 record and a 7-12 mark in Region XIV play. Blinn beat Lamar State College – Port Arthur in the first round of the Region XIV tournament 75-65 and then lost to eventual champion San Jacinto College-Central in the quarterfinals.
