Four people have been charged with capital murder after a missing woman’s body was found in Burleson County.

On Tuesday, the Milam County District Attorney’s office issued four capital murder warrants for the suspects charged with the death of 34-year-old Emily Hacker of Rockdale.

The four suspects were arrested earlier this week on aggravated assault charges in connection with the disappearance of Hacker. The suspects are Edward Berry, 29, arrested in Washington County; John Wayne Stewart, 36, arrested in Burleson County; Candice Jones, 29, arrested in Bell County; and Ashley Wesson Zawadzke, 23, arrested in Milam County.

Rockdale Police said an incident allegedly happened in a Rockdale home, but no evidence was found during the initial search by police. A second search found enough evidence to file aggravated assault charges against the foursome.

Hacker’s body was found in a shallow grave on private property near Lyons on Saturday. According to Rockdale Police, the Dallas County Medical Examiner's Office confirmed the remains were those of Hacker on Tuesday.
