FUNDRAISER FOR SPORTS DOC FRIDAY AT NATHAN’S BBQ

  

The “Voice of the Cubs” for the past 25 years, the Sports Doc Ed Pothul, has returned to work at KWHI after suffering a stroke in late December.  However, he is still going through rehabilitation, and faces numerous medical bills.

A group of friends and supporters have planned a special fundraiser for the Sports Doc this Friday the 13th…..which happens to be Ed’s birthday.  Everyone is invited to stop by Nathan’s Barbecue in Brenham after work this Friday, around 5:30, to wish Ed Pothul a happy birthday.  Donations for his medical expenses will be accepted at that time, or you can donate to a bank account set up at Bank of Brenham…called Brenham Game Changers Ed Pothul.  There is also an online donation account at www.gofundme.com/lo4j1k

Ed has suffered a string of bad luck over the past year.  His brother was in a very serious motorcycle accident last summer.  Ed suffered a stroke in December.  And his father died suddenly in January.  Let’s help end his streak of bad luck by making it a “Lucky” Friday the 13th this Friday afternoon at 5:30 at Nathan’s Barbecue.  Come by and wish the “Voice of the Cubs” for 25 years a “Happy Birthday”!
