GAMBLING RING BUSTED IN BURLESON COUNTY

  

DPS Troopers have seized gaming devices and thousands in cash after a nine month investigation, involving locations in Burleson and Robertson Counties.

More than 200 motherboards were seized, after investigators began looking into illegal gaming back in February.

Officers from Caldwell Police, the Burleson County Sheriff's Office and DPS executed six search warrants, Thursday in Burleson and Robertson Counties.

The investigation produced 13 arrest warrants. Eight people were arrested Thursday. Five still remain at large. DPS is not releasing the names at this time.

Investigators were able to seize 220 motherboards from illegal gaming devices and more than $34,000. The case is still under investigation.

  1. These games are legal and cash payouts are legal acording to Texas law. I see these game rooms all around Texas. Every county looks at the law differently.

  2. It is amazing – what is legal in much of the Country, can wreak havoc on lives in other parts of the country. It boils down to “breaking the law”.
