CANDIDATE PROFILE: GARY GATES TALKS ABOUT ISSUES IN THIS SENATE CAMPAIGN

  

Gary Gates and his wife of 33 years, Melissa, moved to Texas in 1986. With a strong belief in capitalism and a commitment to entrepreneurship, he started and built Gatesco, Inc., from the ground up. This enterprise remains today as a family-owned real estate investment company with operations in the Gulf Coast region of Texas.

Gary Gates is one of five candidates running in the Special Election Senate District 18 seat, and with the election being this Saturday, December 6thGates wanted to get out his message about this campaign and how he feels on his top issues.

 

Gary Gates had this to say about border security and in-state tuition, a topic close to his heart. Gates says his son is a victim of having to pay out-of-state tuition, while "illegals" he says get to pay in-state tuition.

 

See more Gates also says that people tell him they want someone who is not an “Austin insider,” and he also feels that while people say that want someone who is an “outsider, they keep re-electing them.

 

 

Gates says in the six months he’s been campaigning, he often ask people whether they think government is bigger or smaller, and he says the voters are ready to rid government of what they see is the expansion of government.

 

 

Gates is also running against Republican Lois Kolkhorst, Republican Charles Gregory, Democrat Richmond owner Cindy Prabek, and Democrat Rosenberg attorney Christian Hawkins.

 

Election Day is Saturday, December 6, from 7am to 7 pm
