GAS PRICES DOWN 3 CENTS IN TEXAS

  

Retail gasoline prices in Texas and across the nation declined this week.

AAA Texas reports the average price at the pump in Texas is down 3 cents this week, settling at an average of $2.24 per gallon.

A number of gas stations in Brenham were selling unleaded regular gasoline for $2.15 a gallon.

Nationwide gasoline prices are down 2 cents this week, reaching an average of $2.40 per gallon.

Galveston has the most expensive gas in the state this week at an average of $2.30 per gallon.

Drivers in Texarkana have the cheapest gasoline at $2.14 per gallon.

AAA says the decrease in retail gasoline prices indicates summer demand has not yet begun and drivers will likely seek higher prices in coming weeks.
