GAS PRICES DROP 4-CENTS THIS WEEK

  

The average price for a gallon of regular unleaded gas in Texas has dropped an average of four cents per gallon.

The statewide average in Texas is $2.11 for a gallon of regular unleaded fuel, according to the AAA Texas Weekend Gas Watch.

That price is 49 cents more per gallon than this same time last year.

The prices in Brenham range from $1.99 at a location on Highway 36, up to $2.25 per gallon at station on Highway 290.  The average price locally stands at $2.07.

Drivers in El Paso are paying the most on average at $2.20 per gallon while drivers in San Antonio are paying the least at $2.05 per gallon.

The national average price for a gallon of regular unleaded is $2.29 which is four cents less than last week and 46 cents more per gallon than last year.
