GAS PRICES DROP IN TEXAS THIS WEEK

Retail gas prices in Texas and nationwide dropped this week.

AAA Texas reports the statewide average price at the pump dropped a penny to settle at $2.15 per gallon. The price is one cent less than last week and 48 cents more per gallon than last year.

Gasoline prices across the U.S. declined 3 cents to reach an average $2.33 per gallon.

The lowest gas price in Brenham was reported at $2.03 per gallon.

San Antonio had the least expensive gasoline this week in Texas at an average $2.08 per gallon. Drivers in El Paso faced the highest gasoline prices at an average $2.21 per gallon.

Experts say the slight decrease in gasoline prices can be attributed adequate supply and less demand in January, with colder weather and people taking.. fewer road trips following the holidays.
