GAS PRICES UP IN TEXAS, NATIONWIDE
Retail gasoline prices are up again this week both in Texas and nationwide.
AAA Texas reported on Thursday the statewide price of gas rose 6-cents this week to reach and average of $2.25 per gallon.
Drivers across the U.S. saw a 3-cent increase, pushing the nationwide average to $2.40 per gallon.
A survey found that San Antonio has the lowest gas prices statewide at $2.15 per gallon.
One gas station in Brenham had gas at $2.07 on Thursday.
Dallas and Fort Worth has the highest average gas prices in Texas at $2.34 per gallon.
AAA experts say gas prices rose due to an increased driving demand and the switch to more expensive summer-blend gasoline.
