GAVIN SNOW TO APPEAL MURDER CONVICTION

An 18-year-old Burleson County man convicted of capital murder has been appointed an attorney to represent him during the appellate process.

Gavin Snow was found guilty by a Burleson County jury on March 10th.

After five days of testimony and seven hours of deliberation, the jury convicted Snow of murdering 47-year-old Steven Bryant.

Snow shot Bryant in the head at his mobile home in March of 2015.

Judge Carson Campbell sentenced Snow to life in prison, with the possibility of parole after 40 years.

Snow was 16-years-old at the time of the murder and was certified to stand trial as an adult. According to The Eagle, Snow’s appellate attorney, Josh Clover, says the first thing he wants to look into is the transcript of the juvenile certification hearing.

Clover said the entire appeals process should take about 15 months.

Snow remains in the Burleson County Jail, waiting to be transferred to a Texas prison.
