GOV. ABBOTT HOSPITALIZED FOR SKIN GRAFTS

  

Gov. Greg Abbott spent last night in the hospital and will undergo skin grafts on his feet after suffering second- and third-degree burns on both legs.

Abbott's office says he'll undergo skin grafts Tuesday morning at Brooke Army Medical Center in San Antonio to repair damage on his feet after coming into contact with scalding water last week. After the procedure, he's expected to be discharged and return to Austin.

The Governor's office says he was found to have a minor skin infection after going to the hospital Monday.

Abbott will not attend today's memorial service for the slain Dallas officers; his wife will attend instead.
