  1. Just a thought for local government officials. Our local sales tax revenues are down, considerably. We all love and support or law officers and need them. However, on another subject, for some time now, the county and city law and judicial systems have provided us with increasing arrests for possession, DUI, etc. to insure community safety. A growing number of these arrests and convictions are for out of county persons traveling thru our little paradise. In these days of widespread electronic communications, the word about our little hamlet unfriendlyness to passers thru is getting to be widespread knowledge. For all you businees owners and folks for work for them, you are taking the hit due to lower sales. As well as the taxpayers when property taxes are increased to make up for falling sales tax revenue. So maybe this issue needs a litlle more thought when it comes to preseving the county and city dwellers personal well being.
