GRIMES CO. GO TEXAN EVENT TONIGHT-SUNDAY
The Grimes County Go Texan weekend is today, tomorrow and Sunday at the Expo Center in Navasota.
Events kick off tonight (Friday) with a Chicken Fried Steak dinner at 6:00, followed by a live auction at 7:30 and a dance from 8:30-to-midnight.
Saturday’s events include horse shoe and washer toss competitions, a Bloody Mary contest, Little Mr. and Miss Go Texan and a Chili contest.
A dance with music by the Desert Roads Band will take place from 9:00 p.m. to 1:00 a.m.
Sunday there will be the judging of brisket, ribs and chicken.
Tickets for Friday’s dinner and dance are $20—with admittance to the dance only, $5. Tickets to Saturday’s night dance are $10.
Trailboss Troy of the Morning Express will be at the dinner and dance tonight (Friday) in the KTEX Country Cruiser.
