GRIMES CO. INMATE IN I.C.U. AFTER LEAPING FROM SECOND FLOOR

A Grimes County jail inmate is hospitalized after authorities say he jumped from the second floor of the Grimes County Courthouse.

Donald Josh Gantt was reportedly leaving court and was being walked by a banister when he managed to jump over the railing and fell twenty feet from the stairwell to the first floor.

Gantt was taken to St. Joseph Hospital in Bryan and underwent surgery.
He is listed in stable condition in the ICU as of Monday night.
